Tonya Brooks

Owner/Stylist

Born and raised on a farm, Tonya learned the value of hard work early in life — and that dedication has shaped the way Tonya runs Trio SalonSpa and cares for her clients. As a single mom and passionate hairstylist, Tonya pours her heart into both her family and her work.

Graduating from La’James, Mason City in 2006. Tonya has not stopped there when it comes to her education. She continues to make education an important part of the job and enjoys classes and traveling for them.

Tonya believes that great hair can change not just your look, but your confidence. Whether you’re here for a fresh cut, a bold color, or just a little self-care, Tonya is here to help you feel your absolute best.

Caity Schotter

Stylist

Caity has been with Trio since day one, bringing her passion and talent to every guest she serves. A 2011 graduate of the College of Hair Design, she has continued to sharpen her skills through advanced education, always staying at the forefront of trends and techniques.

While Caity specializes in color, she takes pride in all aspects of her craft — ensuring every client leaves her chair feeling confident, refreshed, and truly seen. Her meticulous attention to detail and personalized approach make her work stand out.

Beyond the salon, Caity is the creative mind behind Trio’s social media. With her sharp eye for style and storytelling, she keeps our online community inspired and connected.

Ashley Northness

Stylist

Ashley has been making people feel their best since graduating from La’ James International College in 2012. With a genuine passion for helping others look and feel amazing, her warm personality shines through in every appointment.

Specializing in both men’s and women’s cuts, Ashley also loves treating her guests to relaxing dry pedicures that leave them feeling pampered from head to toe. Since joining the Trio team in 2016, she’s expanded her skills to include lash lifts, tints, Brazilian Blowouts, and body sugaring.

Ashley’s dedication to detail and commitment to quality ensure that every guest leaves her chair feeling refreshed, confident, and cared for.

Ashley is loving mother and wife. You’ll feel listened too and know you’re in good hands being in Ashley’s chair. We’re glad you’re here.

Kaitlyn Plagman

Stylist

Kaitlyn is a 2020 graduate of the Aveda Institute in Des Moines, bringing both talent and heart to every service she provides. After perfecting her skills at a salon in Johnston, she made the move back to the Cedar Valley to be closer to family and is excited to connect with new clients.

Kaitlyn’s goal is simple: to help every guest leave her chair feeling happier, more confident, and loving their look. She specializes in blonding, balayage, hand-tied extensions, and men’s cuts — always tailoring each service to her client’s individual style and goals.

With careful listening and attention to detail, Kaitlyn makes sure you not only love your hair, but feel your absolute best.

Sophia Witte

Esthetician

Sophia joined the Trio team first as a front desk coordinator, then went on to Capri in Waterloo. After graduating from Capri College in 2024, she brought fresh talent and true passion for skincare and beauty. Her love for her craft shines through in every service she provides, combining skill with a genuine commitment to helping clients feel their best.

Specializing in sugaring, lash lifts, brow laminations, and microdermabrasion, Sophia continues to build her expertise through advanced training and ongoing education. Her attention to detail and warm, caring approach ensure that every guest leaves feeling relaxed, refreshed, and truly cared for.

Sophia makes everyone feel welcome and excited to come back to Trio for more services. We’re glad you’re here.
